Blog #11
Color of the month: (Pictures 1-6) The month of November has been kind of all over the place with nail colors. Not many bright colors done of course, but a mix of purples, reds, greys and nudes. So I guess that means “colorS of the month”. HOWEVER, I had a personal favorite for the month of November. It’s a dark blue with a hint of green, a dark teal, maybe ? It’s the kind of color that gives me the urge to do my own nails.. I think that says a lot haha. Seeing that I had a personal favorite color this month, I'm curious to know if you have a favorite ! At the end of this blog you'll find a poll, choose 1 out of the 6 pictures/nail colors that YOU preffer.
(Picture 7-12) I’m really digging portrait/fashion photography to the point that I’ve been debating whether or not I should do it on the side and seeing that I’m super amateur at this I’d offer photoshoot sessions at a VERY fair price. It would definitely help if I was able to set up an “at home indoor studio” though and I feel that may be what’s “stopping” me from moving forward with this growing passion. I guess it’s another reason to make “buying a home” a goal for the near future. Having said that, on Sunday, November 1st I participated in a photoshoot collaboration with “Kreation Unik” ! She (the Kreation Unik creator, Kristelle) supplied her hand-made crochet scarves, half gloves and leg warmers and I did the models nails and took the pictures. (Here's a link to the Kreation Unik's fb page: https://www.facebook.com/Kréation-Unik-182060675462864/?fref=ts ) There’s no doubt that I enjoyed creating every models nails to go with what the models were assigned to wear but the photography part of the “event” was extra exciting. Once again, I’m in no way a professional photographer, I’m very much an amateur BUT, the more I “photographer” (lol what !?) the more I LOVE it !
(Picture 13) Next on the list is a simple all round fav but that I’ll be mentioning it because well.. because grandma’s raviolis, that’s why. There’s really nothing else to say about this, no words can do them justice.
TV/Movie recommendation: The movie fav for the month of November is no other than “V for Vendetta”.
“Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!”
Who wouldn’t choose this as a November favorite simply for that reason ?! Aside from that though, it really is a beautiful movie.
IMDB “V for vendetta” movie plot - “The title is quite simple and can explain in a few words what the movie is about: A man who goes by the name of V seeks vengeance for those who wronged him. Those people in this film pass themselves as the moral good but they are the ultimate corruption of power that abides and rules by the slogan: Strength through Unity. Unity through faith. The first half of the film is primarily based on V's revenge against a certain group of people within this corrupt Government. The latter and most primary part of the movie is restoring power to the people. The actions of V, throughout the movie, are on the surface very violent but as he says in the film: violence can lead to justice. V's actions are only considered horrible, wrong; and evil acts of terrorism because the corrupt Chancellor deems them as such. This creates a moral contrast of the good government and the bad people. The struggle in this movie is between the fascist leader of England, High Chancellor Adam Sutler and V, who swears revenge on behalf of himself but most importantly, the people of London.”
Quote of the month:(Picture 14) "I think that's what's wrong with the world; no one says what they really feel, they always hold it inside. They're sad, but they don't cry. They're happy, but they don't dance or sing. They're angry, but they don't scream. Because if they do, they feel ashamed and that's the worst feeling in the world. So everyone walks with their heads down and no one sees how beautiful the sky is."
*FUN FACT* - Birthstone of the month: (Picture 15) The birthstone for the month of November is topaz and citrine. Topaz is known to cure both mental and physical illness and citrine helps the kidneys, heart, digestive tract, liver and muscle tissue. It also stimulates creativity, personal clarity and eliminates self-destructive habits.
